[WATCH/COMMENTARY] Hakeem Jeffries Says MAGA Is "Having a Meltdown" But Stops Short of Endorsing Harris

House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem "So Fine" Jeffries (D-NY) clearly had a giant bowl of MAGA schadenfreude for breakfast on Monday before he spoke to the press about the dramatic change in the Democratic presidential ticket over the last 24 hours.

Jeffries said that MAGA is "having a meltdown" despite their push to remove Joe Biden as Donald Trump's opponent.

The New York Rep also told the press he'll join Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for a meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of an expected official endorsement from both for her as President.

Overnight, VP Harris had raised over $100 million to add to the already overflowing coffers for the former Biden-Harris campaign. She's also already received the support from over 500 promised delegates.

While many top Democrats held back from endorsing VP Harris on Sunday out of respect for President Joe Biden in the wake of his shocking retirement announcement, many of them were speaking up loudly on Monday.

Most notably, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi has fully backed the brand new Harris For President campaign, which is now co-chaired by Michigan Governor Gretchen "Big Gretch" Whitmer.

“Officially, I have seen Kamala Harris’s strength and courage as a champion for working families, notably fighting for a woman’s right to choose," Speaker Pelosi said. "Personally, I have known Kamala Harris for decades as rooted in strong values, faith, and a commitment to public service.

“Politically, make no mistake: Kamala Harris as a woman in politics is brilliantly astute – and I have full confidence that she will lead us to victory in November,” Pelosi's statement added.

Whitmer's support is bolstered by endorsements from Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear as well as Midwestern Govs. JB Pritzker of Illinois, Tim Walz of Minnesota, and Tony Evers of Wisconsin.
