Donald Trump dropped out of a second CNN debate scheduled for tonight with Vice President Kamala Harris because he didn't want to be globally humiliated again after losing their first debate so badly.
CNN then offered each candidate a solo Town Hall, but only the Vice President accepted the invitation, which will be presented live in place of the debate on Wednesday night from Chester County, Pennsylvania, with Anderson Cooper as the host.
Vice President Harris is expected to focus on her economic plan, which was just praised by 23 Nobel Prize-winning economists as "vastly superior" to Trump's tariff-heavy plan. She is also expected to address the bombshell article from The Atlantic revealing that Trump repeatedly praised Adolf Hitler throughout his one term in office, as well as his dangerously violent rhetoric regarding immigrants and his intention to send the military after Americans who "disagree" with him if he should get back in power.
While Cooper will ask some questions, the Vice President will mostly take questions from an audience of Pennsylvania voters comprised of Democrats, Republicans, and independents--all of whom confirmed to CNN they intend to vote in November and remain undecided or "persuadable" when it comes to choosing their candidate.
The audience members were chosen from a pool of people identified by a nonpartisan research organization and CNN editorial producers working with local and state business groups, civic organizations, religious groups, and universities, according to the network. The Vice President has not received any of the questions ahead of the broadcast.
The CNN Town Hall will air at 9 pm EST.
