WATCH: Chris Wallace Rips Trump Flak Larry Kudlow For “Finding Religion” on Spending

The Trump administration certainly didn’t mind spending money to achieve their policy goals. The major piece of legislation during their term was a major tax cut for the wealthiest Americans. The trickle down benefits that were promised never came to pass.

Joe Biden is in charge now and just passed a major and very popular tax relief bill. Trump advisor Larry Kudlow recently appeared on Fox News to slam the cost of the bill. The next day, he was mocked for his hypocrisy by Fox Host Chris Wallace.

Kudlow had said on Fox News the previous day, “behind this bill, there’s going to be a so-called infrastructure bill. But in that infrastructure bill, which could run four, five, six billion dollars, there’s going to be a big Green New Deal. I call it socialism, that will demolish fossil fuels and put strict limits on almost every part of the economy. It’s really a central planning, government control bill.

Wallace laughed off Kudlow’s concerns. He told the hosts, “it’s so interesting when people are out of office, they’re very concerned about [deficits and debt], when they’re in office, they’re not so concerned about it.”

The Fox pundit continued, “And Larry Kudlow, when he was working in the Trump White House and passing huge tax cuts and huge spending plans including multi-trillion dollar bills for Covid relief, there wasn’t so much concern about deficit and debts. He seems to have found religion now that he’s back out of the government.”
