A large-scale Turning Point USA event has been going on all week. The roster of attendees and speakers shows just how extreme the Republican party has become. Donald Trump Jr. was there. So was Marjorie Taylor Greene. And the special guest of the event was Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen recently acquitted of murder.During an interview about the event, TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was asked about how the show was going. Kirk excitedly compared Rittenhouse to Jesus Christ.
The Conservative pundit claimed, “I see a lot of good news. I see a lot of people waking up. For example, we brought Kyle Rittenhouse to front stage. That’s a win. It’s a win for due process. It’s a win for constitutional order. It’s a win for presumption of innocence, all biblical values, by the way. Plenty of people were wrongfully accused all throughout the Bible, especially the Old Testament, including Jesus Christ himself.”
