WATCH: Caught In The Lie: Video Of Trump Calling McCain ‘Loser’ Resurfaces After He Denies It

Donald Trump has denied a report that he called military veterans and soldiers killed in action “losers” and “suckers,” and that he suggested amputees be excluded from a veteran’s event. He addressed this in a series of tweets, saying that he never called John McCain a loser, and that he would swear “on whatever or whoever” that he also never said disparaging things about fallen soldiers. Now the video of him calling John McCain a loser has resurfaced on social media, and is going viral all over again.

Donald Trump did call John McCain a loser

The video clip below was taken at the 2015 Family Leadership Summit, where Trump was being interviewed by Republican consultant Frank Luntz. In the clip, he says of John McCain’s presidential campaign,

I supported him, he lost, he let us down, but you know, he lost. So I never liked him as much after that because I don’t like losers.

Then Trump and the interviewer are speaking at the same time, with Luntz saying, “He’s a war hero!” Trump disagrees.

He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero ’cause he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured, okay? I hate to tell ya.”

Donald Trump explicitly denied this Friday, saying in a series of tweets, that he disagreed with McCain on many things, but never called him a loser.

This denial followed an explosive story citing insider accounts saying that Trump had called soldiers killed in action “losers” and “suckers,” and otherwise expressed disdain and distaste for military veterans.
