WATCH: California Rep. Explains Why No One Is Going to Vote For Caitlyn Jenner

When asked about Caitlyn Jenner’s bid for the California governorship, Karen Bass laid out the reasons why she isn’t likely to get much support.

Jenner, a long-time Conservative, has always been interested in getting into politics. She was a supporter of Donald Trump and allegedly pitched the 45th president an idea about the two of them dancing together during his inauguration.

And with a possible recall election looming in California, Jenner has decided to throw her hat in the ring. She is even getting support from former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale. But according to Bass, there is very little chance that she will actually be successful.

Bass talked about the candidate during an appearance on Sunday’s episode of ABC This Week. She told George Stephanopoulos, “Considering all of the anti-trans legislation around the country that Republicans have put forward, I have a hard time imagining that Republicans are going to vote for a trans, a Republican trans candidate for governor.”

The Democratic lawmaker continued, “Whatever it is, though, you know, she is getting a lot of publicity. Maybe that’s helpful, but it’s certainly not helpful to the state of California.”

The congresswoman also blasted the recall effort, saying, “If people are mad with the governor, he is up for reelection next year,” she said. “That’s where their focus should be. Not on a recall.”
