[WATCH] But His Emails! CNN’s Berman Breaks Down Fauci’s COVID Correspondence
The Republicans seem to think they’ve done something by gaining access to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails that date back to the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. Because most of them clearly haven’t read through Dr. Fauci’s discussions with his colleagues as they tried to stay ahead of a new and fast-spreading virus, the Republicans are already pushing the false narratives that Dr. Fauci is somehow to blame for the origins of COVID19 and its global spread. The GOP has seized on a specific email obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request where Dr. Fauci was being thanked by the head of a medical company that is funding research at the Wuhan, China, virology lab for saying the virus origin was started by natural causes.
Now that he’s been freed up to speak to the media, Dr. Fauci has been doing what he can to get the real message through to the masses: vaccination is the best way to move past the virus and return to some semblance of normalcy. As he told Rachel Maddow on her show Friday night, the key point he wishes he could make people understand is that as a species, we need to stop giving the virus the human hosts it needs to thrive. “You want to be a dead-end for the virus,” Dr. Fauci told Maddow.
Rather than look to their former dear leader or reviewing the Bob Woodward tapes, the Republicans would prefer to scapegoat and threaten Dr. Fauci while continuing to scare their base.
Facebook allows Trump Jr. to post threats against Dr. Fauci on Instagram.
But Facebook told me today my year-old post goes "against our Community Standards" and removed it.

CNN’s John Berman did what most of Dr. Fauci’s critics wouldn’t: he sat down and read all of the emails. Watch his full segment from “A New Day”, below.
