Donald Trump has always been desperate for the support of celebrities. Sure, there are a few who openly support him like Kid Rock, Jon Voight and Ted Nugent, but they are few and far between.

That’s why Tom Brady meant so much to the former president. Brady didn’t stump for Trump or anything, but he was willing to call him a friend and say kind things about him.
But that seemed to come to an end this week when Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited the White House. The superstar quarterback cracked a joke about Trump’s election loss with Joe Biden. Sports broadcaster Skip Bayless says there was a strategic reason for that.
During an episode of Undisputed, Bayless claimed, “I believe Tom Brady has been irritated to the point of being troubled, even haunted by the fact that he was associated with Donald Trump once he won office.” He continued, “Do I think he had fun playing golf with Donald Trump? I do. But Brady had probably been naive with the hat stunt.”
Bayless closed, “[Brady] lived to regret it because then he was associated with Donald Trump politically and Donald Trump became a figure politically that Tom Brady wanted zero to do with. So I believe he took this opportunity in the Biden White House, to take a shot that I think will burn whatever bridge was left with Donald Trump. I don’t think Mr. Trump will like that.”
