WATCH: Brad Pitt Grants Dr. Fauci’s Wish by Playing Him on SNL

The daily White House COVID-19 press conferences have featured plenty of Donald Trump and not so much advice from medical experts. When he is allowed to speak, or even appear, Dr. Anthony Fauci has charmed much of the American public.

Fauci has been lauded for both his no nonsense straight talk as well as his general good humor. This humor was on display weeks ago when the Doctor said that he’d like to see Brad Pitt play him in a movie. On yesterday’s episode of Saturday Night Live, Pitt made that a reality by acting as Fauci in a skit.

As Fauci, Pitt began the skit by saying, “Yes, [President Donald Trump] has taken some liberties with our guidelines. So tonight, I’d like to explain what the president was trying to say. And remember, let’s all keep an open mind.”

After correcting a number of pieces of Trump misinformation, the actor closed by saying, “So yeah, I’m getting fired. But until then, I’m going to be there putting out the facts for whoever’s listening. When I hear things like the virus can be cured if everyone takes the Tide Pod Challenge, I’ll be there to say, ‘please don’t.'”

Pitt has already let it be known that he is no fan of the Trump administration. He has been consistently critical of the President and used his February Oscar speech to mock the impeachment process. He quipped at the time, “They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week.”
