At one point, Bill O’Reilly was the biggest ratings star at the Fox News network. That all came crashing down, though, when he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women.
The former Fox anchor is currently holding a speaking tour with Donald Trump. And despite his seemingly cushy relationship with the former president, O’Reilly doesn’t agree with him on one thing. O’Reilly tore into Fox for downplaying the events of January 6th.
The Conservative pundit told NewsNation’s Dan Abrams that his show would never work today. “But if we went back to any network and reimposed The O’Reilly Factor where we brought on people to debate from all sides and we presented evidence as best we could backed up by facts, that show would go through the roof. But it’s easy to play to the choir and that’s what they’re all doing now. That’s easy. It’s hard to debate and especially when you bring bright people in.”
After calling the insurrection, “one of the most disgraceful displays in U.S. history,” O’Reilly continued:
“Fox News is a different place then when I was there. . . when I was there, there was discipline from management that diminishing the Capitol riot could never have happened.”
