WATCH: Betsy DeVos Explains What It Would Take to Return to Trump's Administration

During a recent appearance at a fundraiser for Republican candidate Mike Rogers, Betsy DeVos said that she would only serve under Donald Trump again if he allowed her to continue her mission to destroy the Department of Education.

Once Donald Trump became President in 2016, he made massive donor Betsy DeVos his Secretary of Education. It was a controversial choice. Not only did she have no background whatsoever in teaching, she spent her four years in office harming public schools.

DeVos stepped down in protest after the January 6th insurrection. Despite pretending to have any sort of backbone then, she would return to Trump's cabinet if he let her continue to hurt the country.

"I don’t think President Trump would ask me to again," she told attendees at the Rogers' event. DeVos did not that she would accept if, "only if it was with the goal of phasing out the Department of Education as we tried to do through budgetary process in the first administration."

DeVos continued by saying, "Also getting a commitment to passing a major education freedom bill in the form of a tax credit mechanism at the Department of Treasury."

Of course, when DeVos talks about freedom, she means the freedom to indoctrinate students with her religious views rather than those students' rights to not have religion pushed on them at school.
