During his time on Spotify, Joe Rogan has pushed many Conservative talking points. At the same time, though, the podcast host has referred to himself both as a Liberal and a Libertarian. Despite that fact, Rogan recently threw his support behind fascist Republican candidate Ron DeSantis. And as part of the support for DeSantis, Rogan also slammed Trump.

Steve Bannon, a close ally of Trump and former architect of the 2016 campaign, took issue with Rogan’s comments. According to Bannon, Rogan’s listeners aren’t intelligent enough to understand what Trump may talk about.
Rogan said of Trump during an earlier show, “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no, every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
Steve Bannon, an ally of Trump fired back on Wednesday. “And you got Joe Rogan over there, trash-talking Trump. I don’t give Trump any platform. No offense. He doesn’t need your platform. He doesn’t need your low-information voters.”
Bannon then gave his show a pat on the back, continuing, “Okay. Trump deals with high-information people. Your audience couldn’t handle ‘War Room,’ couldn’t follow it. Start talking inverted yield curve, your eyes would cross. So, you know, don’t trash talk and then take money from Spotify and Spotify as part of the problem
