WATCH: Ashli Babbitt’s Birthday Celebrants Wish Death On Pelosi; Call For Texas Secession

Ashli Babbitt would be celebrating her birthday this month, if not for the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol Building that left her dead. Over the weekend, her loved ones gathered to celebrate her, view a broadcast from the former president, whose disinformation contributed to her presence at the D.C. riot, and blame House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Ashli Babbitt was shot to death on January 6th by a police officer as she climbed through an interior window in the Capitol Building outside Senate Chambers, followed by a mob of Trump supporters. However, her supporters consider her a martyr and say they’re seeking “justice” for her death.

Among those supporters this weekend was Donald Trump, who recorded a video message for Babbitt’s family, demanding an investigation into her death. (An investigation has already cleared the officer of wrongdoing, recognizing that he was defending Congress and democracy.)

However, Trump wasn’t the only one who had thoughts to express. Journalist Oliya Scootercaster shared videos of participants, which included an invitation to the Babbitt family to move to Texas, “so that when we secede, they can become citizens of the country of Texas.”

In other clips, Babbitt’s mother says “F*** off and die, Nancy Pelosi,” and other participants promising that they won’t stop until they get what they consider justice for Babbitt’s death.

While right-wing politicians and influencers have painted Babbitt and the other January 6th attackers as patriots, those charged in the riot continue to trickle through the court system, facing charges ranging from simple trespassing to assault on officers and weapons charges.
