An entire public hearing of the January 6th Committee centered around Mike Pence and the pressure campaign that was mounted in an effort to enlist his help in illegally overturning the 2020 Presidential election. Ultimately, Pence stood strong, but that doesn’t mean the absence of his testimony in that hearing went unnoticed.
Pence, of course, would be in the ultimate position to corroborate testimony — to name a single example, the January 6th Committee has heard that Trump called his vice president a “wimp” while trying to convince him to abdicate his duty to confirm the electoral vote. Trump denies this. Pence could not only confirm or deny such testimony, but could fill in gaps, such as what his thoughts were when he refused to leave the Capitol in a Secret Service vehicle.
So, with all that in mind, is the January 6th Committee seeking an interview with Pence? Will they go as far as issuing a subpoena to force the former VP to testify, after praising him for doing the right thing on January 6th?
Adam Schiff says nothing is being ruled out, and suggests there are multiple high-profile individuals that the Committee is still hoping will provide testimony.

“We’re not taking anything off the table in terms of witnesses who have not yet testified. We would still, I think, like to have several high-profile people come before our committee. At the moment, I can’t disclose what private conversations may or may not be going on with respect to certain individuals, but there are still key people we have not interviewed, that we would like to.”
So, is an interview with Mike Pence still a possibility?
“Certainly a possibility,” Schiff says.
