[WATCH] 9/11 First Responder Calls Trump ‘A Piece of Sh*t’ Over Comments at Bedminster LIV Tournament

Fifty miles away from Ground Zero, family members of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks have been protesting outside Donald Trump’s Bedminster Golf Course in New Jersey, which is currently hosting the LIV Golf Tour that has ties to Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The families are currently pursuing a lawsuit seeking damages from Saudi Arabia for its alleged role in the attacks, and have released a scathing ad slamming Trump for welcoming the LIV tournament (see below). The amount of money Trump’s golf club will receive for the event was not disclosed, but is estimated to be in the millions.

Trump had already lost the PGA Tour hosting gig after the January 6th Capitol insurrection, and hosting the Saudi-backed tour so close to where the horrific events of 9/11 occurred as the 21st anniversary approaches is like “adding salt to the wound,” said one of the family members outside Bedminster. “You’re not just playing golf, you’re taking a stance,” Juliette Scauso, who lost her 46-year-old FDNY dad on 9/11, told The New York Daily News. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is allowed to operate on American soil with complete impunity. How much money does it take to turn your back on your country?”

During his administration, the 9/11 families had petitioned Trump to release classified memos linking the Saudi government to the terrorist attack. Trump never followed through, but President Joe Biden eventually making the documents public.

Tim Frolic, who miraculously found his way out from the 80th Floor of the South Tower. “It’s deplorable.” Frolic lumped Trump in with the participating golfers, including big names like Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Dustin Johnson, who all signed multi-million dollar LIV deals. “‘Never forget’ did not come with an expiration date,” he said. “There’s outrage, hurt and confusion … These athletes made a personal decision to be bought off by Saudi Arabia.” Of Trump, he said: “You lied to our faces and continued your bulls— statements.”

The Saudi Arabian record of human rights violations is well-known, yet Trump shrugged it off when asked, along with the ties to September 11th, a subject Trump has often co-opted to boost his own public image. But the 9/11 families won’t forget.

Aside from hosting the Saudi-backed celebrity tournament, Trump also recently “discreetly” buried his first ex-wife, Ivana, near the first hole at Bedminster in a small “family plot” set aside specifically to skirt New Jersey’s property tax laws.
