Viral Trump Supporter Arrested for Identity Theft
Arizona Trump supporter Jennifer Harrison thanks to a viral video of her yelling about immigrants during a town hall meeting. The camera caught a man laughing at Harrison as she ranted at a Tucson city council meeting.
Harrison is also the founder of a right-wing anti-immigration group known as AZ Patriots. Over the weekend, the conservative activist was arrested on charges of identity theft.
According to Arizona police Harrison is accused of using “the identity of another by accessing an elderly victim’s hotel points.” The reportedly occurred in September of this year when she was attending a rock festival in Northern California.
Harrison was not cooperative with police upon being detained. The complaint reads, “Jennifer created a scene at the PD (police department) and in the booking room because she believes she is above the law and does not want to be treated like a criminal.”
The activist was also accused of lying about working for a news outlet in order to receive press credentials. Harrison received press credentials to an Arizona Donald Trump Jr. event by allegedly claiming she worked for Reporters Without Borders.
The news organization wrote in a tweet, “Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Jennifer Harrison is not affiliated with RSF, we’re not sure what our logo is doing on her press pass. Please let us know if you ever happen to come across something like this again.”
