Unsuspecting Woman on Instagram Catches Cheating Husband in the Most Interesting Way

This is a story about how one fleeting moment can forever change the course of your life. Amber was innocuously browsing through Instagram when she stumbled on evidence that would destroy an important part of her life.

Amber and John both met at a friend's birthday party. They exchanged numbers and got along well. Over time, they went on an expensive dates which made Amber feel that John was the ideal man for her beyond any doubts. They loved each other dearly, so they took their relationship to the next level by getting married.

Without wasting time, they began to make plans for their wedding. Amber came from a wealthy and respectful family background. Her family was ready to spend more on this special occasion, just to make sure their only daughter enjoyed one of the happiest moments of her life.

Everything went well as they planned. Everyone cheered as the happy couple tied the knot. No one knew how short that happiness would live.

John and Amber were the latest talk in town. People talked about how they spent lavishly on the wedding and the expensive gifts guests received. They both lived happily after due to the understanding they had with each other. 

This earned them much respect around the neighborhood. They dreamt of having loving kids and making sure their home was peaceful. Amber didn’t know that all this while, the dream was solely from her end.

Once in a while, their families got together to mingle, have fun with other relatives and get to know each other very well. This particular day, there was a hangout that changed things a little. As usual, there was enough food and drink to go around. 

As the music played on, the party was interrupted by a female relative who walked in. She looked so gorgeous that everyone had to pause and stare for a while. She even got John so enraptured that he lost concentration.

John left the table where he was talking with his friends and walked up to her. 

They talked for a while, exchanged contacts and drank together. Meanwhile, Amber was at the corner watching them in surprise.

After the party was over, John and Amber were in their car without saying a word to each other. John noticed how Amber behaved on their way home, but he felt that she was being too jealous. 

When they entered the house, Amber questioned John because she felt he was trying to take advantage of her. John didn't say a word but just laughed at the look on her face.

When John saw that Amber was really angry, he replied and told her to calm down because she was taking things too far. He was just trying to be nice and make new friends and nothing else was attached to their friendship. 

After hearing what, she calmed down but was still a little bit suspicious. Amber would soon forget about the incident. After four years of a seemingly happy marriage, things started to change gradually to something unexpected.

This was something nobody ever wished for but some circumstances were beyond control. It was uncertain when the cracks started to show in their marriage. Maybe it was that particular day at the family hangout, or maybe it was always there but Amber was too blind to see it. 

Either way, the crack appeared and it kept getting wider while Amber remained oblivious. Meanwhile, Amber had a secret little guilty pleasure she hadn’t shared with anybody. It also seemed like her husband John had a secret of his own, although less trivial. Unfortunately, the two were about to intersect in the strangest way possible.

She spent most afternoons doing her normal daily rituals, except on Tuesdays. On Tuesdays, she snuck out of the office to get some coffee and browse through the internet. 

She found it was a great way to relax a bit from office work. Her secret was not sneaking out of the office. It was what she spent time browsing on the internet.

Amber loved going through her social media accounts and getting attracted to social media posts, especially Instagram. 

She loves following top social influencers that kept her updated on the latest trends around the world. She was about to really be up-to-date about the latest trends around the world, alright.

As she continued surfing Instagram, she came across a couple of people she followed, and a few she didn’t want anyone to know she followed. One of such people she had been following was Simeon Anderson, a Kiwi influencer with more than 315,000 followers.

 She was an avid fan and couldn't imagine life without following her. Watching Simon Anderson was her little secret.

Amber felt that Simeon Anderson had good cleaning tips which she liked and watching her put her in a good mood. 

She also felt that Simeon lived in a whole other world to her which was great escapism. In a way, she felt like she was living a dream vicariously through Simeon. 

This eventful Tuesday, as she waited to grab her coffee and browsed through Instagram, she zoomed to that Simeon Anderson page again.

 All of a sudden, as she continued scrolling through her recent posts, she saw a couple that looked quite familiar at the background in a park she knew quite well.

As she heard her name being called out for her ordered coffee, she went straight to the counter, glancing at the image on her phone screen, trying to figure out what was so familiar about the people in the park. Amber also noticed the woman wearing a unique dress. 

It was something she had seen a colleague of her husband, Lisa, wear on most occasions. Amber remembered that she had made compliments on the dress before. Lisa had told her she had bought it from a little shop in Venice. Amber knew she hadn't seen the pattern elsewhere.

Amber wondered if it was Lisa she had seen in the background. She decided to go back and take another look, out of curiosity. It was indeed Lisa. But the most surprising thing was who was with her.

 She couldn't believe her eyes. In the video, Amber saw how they were walking next to each other. Lisa’s hand was under his armpit and he had his arm around her. Amber saw how her husband's hand was around Lisa's waist.

Amber scrolled back and front in disbelief, taking screenshots as she went. Then she texted her friend who is good with phone stuff and asked how one could record something on their screen.

Within a few minutes, her friend sent her instructions and a YouTube tutorial on how to go about it, and immediately, she got what she was looking for.

She was normally really quite private about her marriage and stuff. But she must have been in shock because she did something unusual.

After she made the videos and recorded what she saw in Simone’s stories, she opened up a WhatsApp group with two of her closest friends and uploaded the video.

Amber, who was feeling more confused than ever, before texted ‘Do you see what I am seeing? What should I do now?’ she wrote. After a few minutes messages came in from her friends asking if it was John and who he was with, although they weren't sure it was John.

 Another of her friends refused to believe that it was evidence of John being up to no good. It was too shocking.

‘Her face doesn’t look happy,’ the said friend continued. ‘Maybe she just found out her dad has terminal cancer and he’s comforting her?’ Maybe,’ the other friend wrote. 

‘But why wouldn’t they just go for a walk around the block? Not drive to the other side of town?’ Yes, John and Lisa, who happened to live in the same area drove hours to the other side of town just for “comforting”. It was no puzzle what was happening. 

Although the story had been uploaded on Instagram that morning,  Amber decided to just send her husband a text to check up on John. She asked how his day was going, she tried to imagine that if something awful had happened, he might mention it.

 At 4.30 pm her phone buzzed with a message, it was from John. The text read "All good. Pretty busy! What do you feel like for dinner?"

All of a sudden, Amber started feeling sick and headed home. 

Meanwhile, she had been thinking of different scenarios as to why her husband and his co-worker could be walking around a park arm-in-arm that morning. She was not quite ready to read the signs for what they were.

When John finally arrived home, she didn't welcome him warmly, like she normally did. Amber immediately asked him what he had done that morning and if he had left the office. 

He looked confused and didn't know what to say. Amber felt that his inability to say a complete statement meant that it wasn’t a good sign. John denied everything, even when Amber showed him the video.

John said it could be anyone. What made Amber so sure it was him and that was Lisa’s dress?

For three months, John and Amber stayed together, he continued to deny it was him in the video, or that anything was going on with Lisa. Amber tried to forget it as best she could and would bury away the thoughts whenever they came to her mind, especially at night.

The crack in their marriage finally became an abyss. They argued a lot, which they weren't used to.

When the first lockdown happened and they were stuck at home together, their issues became worse. When the lockdown was over, they agreed to separate and John moved out.

After John had moved out, she kept trying to gather proof that she wasn't being delusional. She searched his social media but didn't find any evidence. One day, as a suggestion from her tech savvy friend, they got Followmeter to find out who had them blocked on Instagram. 

It was supposed to be a funny experience to waste time but she found something strange. A strange account that she had never seen before account had blocked her. Then she found out it was her husband's burner account where he posted himself and Lisa.

Now she had proof that he indeed cheated and it was him in the video. But what could she do with it? The marriage had already crashed and there was no coming back from there. 

After six months of John moving out, Amber later got to know where John had been living. John was living in Lisa’s house. This came as both a huge shock and not a shock at all to Amber.

Amber said the thing she hated the most about their situation was that John had not, for once, let her know about his relationship with Lisa and that it was them that she had seen in the video having an affair. 

Thinking about the situation on the ground made it difficult for Amber to breathe. She felt he had gone too far. 

Amber remembered that she and John didn’t have a prenuptial agreement, but when they married she had inherited her grandmother’s home and a substantial amount of money. They were both deeply in love with each other and Amber assumed that everything would work out. And if it didn’t, John would be reasonable and not expect to take half of her grandmother’s house. It was quite unfortunate that it wasn't the case. 

The idea that John could cheat on Amber, lie about it, and then get a divorce and also think that he could move the woman he cheated with, into her grandmother’s home was something unthinkable.

But that was what happened. Amber while sharing her story had written that " Nobody knows how I found out that he was cheating on me, except my two best friends – thankfully no one asked, so this story will be easy to be kept anonymous. But hopefully, people will click on it. Then I want women to know three things.

One: Trust your gut and your trusted girlfriends who tell you that your husband is cheating on you. Two: For God’s sake get a prenup! No one goes into marriage thinking they’re going to need one, that’s the whole point. You might think you can trust your fiance or husband to do the right thing, but there are no guarantees in this life, that’s for sure. Three: Also get an app to check whether his burner has you blocked!"

Amber hoped that her situation would be resolved soon, but in the meantime, she is quite understandably furious about the money she had spent, trying to keep full ownership of her grandmother’s house. She also advised that “If you do need a divorce, get a good lawyer. 

But not too good. Too good is too expensive. Just get one who feels your fire and is willing to fight hard for you.”
