Unlike Donald Trump, Jared Kushner Has a Deal to Publish His Memoirs

Kushner's covid response team thought virus would only hit blue states

At one time, Jared Kushner was a prominent Democrat who hosted fundraisers for candidates like Cory Booker. A few short years later he was working alongside Donald Trump and pushing Republican causes.

His Father-in-Law had a lot of faith in him. Trump tasked Kushner with ambitious goals like redefining criminal justice reform and making peace in the Middle East. Kushner will now be penning a book about his experiences in Washington DC.

The memoirs will be published by an imprint of Harper Collins called Broadside Books. The publisher said in a statement, “His book will be the definitive, thorough recounting of the administration — and the truth about what happened behind closed doors.”

Kushner’s Father-in-Law is still waiting for the opportunity to publish his memoirs. The former president wrote in a Friday statement, “I turned down two book deals, from the most unlikely of publishers, in that I do not want to do such a deal right now. I’m writing like crazy anyway, however, and when the time comes, you’ll see the book of all books. Actually, I’ve been working on a much more important project right now! That doesn’t mean I won’t accept them sometime in the future, as I have started writing the book.”

According to the Daily Beast, though, none of the 5 major publishing houses in the country have made Trump an offer. Jonathan Karp, the head of Simon & Schuster, recently said that he wouldn’t extend an offer to Trump because he didn’t think the former president would be honest in his recollections.
