Twitter was incredibly important to Donald Trump’s political rise. The website allowed him to communicate directly with his fans and was clearly his preferred method of communication. He lost that ability following the January 6th insurrection.

Trump now posts his missives on a site he created called Truth Social. Truth Social, however, has been dogged with low traffic numbers and incompetence. So an account was created to post Trump’s messages on Twitter. Twitter, however, has shut that account down.
The former President also sends his messages to the site through his communications aide Liz Harrington. Harrington recently claimed she would soon leave Twitter, writing, “I will soon no longer be posting on Twitter. This is a terrible website that is beyond fixing. TRUTH will soon be available to everyone when its web application launches.”

There was hope among many in MAGA world that the potential Elon Musk acquisition of Twitter could change things for them. The Musk/Twitter deal, however, may or may not be happening.
