Soon-to-be former White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Thursday begged congressional Democrats to permit President Donald Trump “leave peacefully with his dignity” after they impeached him for inciting an insurrection at the United States Capitol on January 6th.
“What happened yesterday was a travesty,” Navarro crowed on Mornings With Maria on Fox Business. “The Democratic Party did violence to this country by attacking a president who I believe was legally elected on Nov. 3. If the election was held today, he’d be elected again. And if he runs in 2024, he will be elected then, and I think that’s what the Democrats fear.”
If Trump is convicted in the Senate, which Democrats now control, he will be eternally barred from holding elected office.
“I’ve never been more pissed off in my life at this place,” Navarro continued, referring to the nation’s capital. “And I think there’s 74 million Americans who voted for President Trump, who feel exactly the same way. So I would say to these people on Capitol Hill, knock it off. Stop this. Let the man leave peacefully with his dignity.”
Nevermind the historic unemployment and unprecedented trade deficits with countries such as China – Navarro insisted to host Maria Bartiromo, another television Trump myrmidon, that Trump “was the greatest jobs president, the greatest trade negotiator we’ve ever had in this history and this is just wrong what they are doing.”
While perpetuating baseless claims that Trump won the election, WH Trade Adviser Peter Navarro says Dems “did violence” by impeaching Trump:

He can't see the connection between refusing to accept the election result and "letting him leave with his dignity".

The Lincoln Project caught wind of Navarro’s glowering and posted a picture to Twitter of Navarro sheepishly schlepping a portrait of Trump with Chinese President Xi Jinping out of the White House, which it photoshopped with an image of last week’s Trump-led domestic terror attack on the Capitol.
