Twitter Baffled by Donald Trump’s Bizarre Afghanistan Advice

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday threw out some unsolicited advice for President Joe Biden regarding his handling of the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. Trump, who negotiated the United States’s surrender to the Taliban last year, suggested that Biden should order the Armed Forces to destroy their own installations in Afghanistan – while troops are still stationed inside.

“First you bring out all of the American citizens. Then you bring out ALL equipment. Then you bomb the bases into smithereens – AND THEN YOU BRING OUT THE MILITARY. You don’t do it in reverse order like Biden and our woke Generals did,” Trump said in a statement that was released by his office. “No chaos, no death – they wouldn’t even know we left!”

The Independent‘s political correspondent Andrew Feinberg obtained Trump’s remarks and shared them on Twitter.

Trump’s – guidance? – left social media users horrified and perplexed.

“The one thing that these statements do, is show just how much worse this situation would’ve been had he still been in office,” one observer noted.

“And this man somehow became POTUS. America needs to take a good hard look at itself,” said another.

“How the f did that dude become our 45th president? Still amazes me,” quipped a third.

No one appears to be forgetting that it was Trump who set the stage for the US to exit Afghanistan after 20 years.

“Coming from the guy who literally left all these people there as he reduced troop count from 15k to 2500 while handing the keys over to the Taliban,” someone noted.

Questions abounded.
