#TuckerVaxxed Trends As Viewers Demand To Know If Fox Host Is Lying

Vaccine hesitancy could be the bar to herd immunity and a return to some semblance of normalcy after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and some viewers wonder about certain media hosts who are stoking fears. Fox‘s Tucker Carlson is a particular focal point right now, and some social media users are wondering if he has been secretly vaccinated, while he continues to promote anti-vax sentiments.

Carlson has been called out for pushing misleading narratives regarding the COVID-19 vaccines before. Earlier this month, a clip of him claiming that masses of people were dying from being vaccinated resulted in many turning to Twitter to point out two logical flaws. First, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) he’s citing relies on self-reporting, so there’s no verification of whether the claimed incidents are real or connected to vaccines. Second, as noted in the tweet below, there’s a wide line between vaccinated people dying (especially during a pandemic) and vaccines causing deaths.

Now, a few days after that tweet, the sentiment expressed therein — that Carlson is only anti-vax on TV, that he’s gotten his vaccine but is keeping it a secret — has gone viral, with #TuckerVaxxed trending. Some viewers even say the Fox host has an obligation to his viewers to let them know whether he got the shot himself.

Tucker’s (hypothetical) vaccination status has been compared to that of ex-president Donald Trump, who received the COVID-19 vaccine while still in office but chose not to share that information with Americans, despite being a major influence on a significant portion of the populace.
