Tucker Carlson Vociferously Defends Conspiracy Theorist Host Arrested by FBI [VIDEO]

For years, Alex Jones was the most preeminent conspiracy theorist on the air. But in the age of Trump, the lines began to blur. And now it’s hard to tell the difference between and episode of InfoWars and what you see during Fox News’ prime-time hours.

WASHINGTON, DC – MARCH 29: Fox News host Tucker Carlson discusses ‘Populism and the Right’ during the National Review Institute’s Ideas Summit at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel March 29, 2019 in Washington, DC. Carlson talked about a large variety of topics including dropping testosterone levels, increasing rates of suicide, unemployment, drug addiction and social hierarchy at the summit, which had the theme ‘The Case for the American Experiment.’ (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

Tucker Carlson pushes more misinformation than anyone else on Fox. And Jones says he’s the one who “opened the hosts eyes.” So it was no surprise to see Carlson defend recently arrested Owen Shroyer, who co-hosts InfoWars along with Jones.

The Fox host told viewers, “Just today, the DOJ, the Biden administration announced it’s charging a host at Infowars, a man called Owen Shroyer, with several federal crimes, including “entering a restricted area on January 6th.” Well, that sounds bad. What did Owen Shroyer do? He didn’t go inside the Capitol building on January 6th. He stood on the Capitol steps with hundreds of other people.”

Carlson continued:

“What’s going on here exactly? Well, Owen Shroyer’s real crime appeared to have occurred in December of 2019 when he shouted mean things to Jerry Nadler during a congressional hearing. The DOJ accused him of disorderly conduct and told him, ‘Never go near the Capitol again. You don’t want to hurt Jerry Nadler’s feelings.’ He disobeyed. Now, he’s going to jail on Monday.”
