Fox News host Tucker Carlson is facing major scrutiny after a video surfaced of him making a slew of blatant misogynistic attacks on women prior to and during his employment at the cable network. Among those insults were instances where he called women “extremely primitive.”
The sensitive lothario also said such thoughtful gems as a teacher sleeping with an underage male student was “doing a service to all 13-year-old girls” and decried rape shield laws as “totally unfair” because they protected victims, according to clips uncovered by Media Matters for America.
It seems the outlet had the unenviable honor of going through hours of Carlson’s previous appearances on the program “Bubba the Love Sponge,” hosted by the shock jock who was born Todd Clem. One can probably not expect intersectional feminism to frequently come up on a show called “Bubba the Love Sponge,” but Carlson’s comments were particularly vile.
Carlson was a weekly guest on the syndicated show where he regularly appeared from 2006 through 2011.
Tuckerson has worked at Fox News since 2009.
