Trump’s Tweet Makes For the Most Spectacular Anti-Ted Cruz Billboard Ad

Last week President Trump announced, via Twitter, that he would be holding a “major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October,” saying that Cruz has his “complete and total endorsement”.

Cruz, who is in a very tight battle with Democrat Beto O’Rourke for one of Texas’ two Senate seats, has seen his lead in the race dwindle over the past several months.  Before Trump’s announcement, many questioned if the president would endorse Cruz after the bitter battle the two men had against one another during the 2016 Republican primary.

Some people believe that it is very hypocritical for President Trump to back a man who he has repeatedly referred to as a liar and a cheat.

One example of this can be seen in the following tweet that Donald Trump made on February 28, 2016:

Now, former Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg and a former presidential staffer named Claude Taylor have teamed up to create a billboard in the state of Texas, showing just how hypocritical the president really is.  They plan to do this simply by posting this aforementioned tweet by Trump on a digital billboard within the state.

“President Donald Trump will be campaigning to help Sen. Ted Cruz win his re-election,” the two men wrote.  “A rally is being planned, according to Trump ‘at the biggest stadium in Texas.’ We are planning to display the president’s own words about Cruz from 2016 on a mobile billboard, to remind Texans of the truth.”

To raise money for this billboard, the two men started a gofundme campaign, and it was quickly funded within just hours.

This tweet seems to perfectly show the president’s hypocrisy and disdain for Cruz, but as you can see below, Donald Trump has made a plethora of negative tweets about Ted Cruz in the past.
