Trump’s Brother Hospitalized in New York
Robert Trump, the youngest brother of Donald Trump, has been hospitalized in New York City. Donald Trump is expected to visit his brother this weekend, as he was already scheduled to spend it at his property in Bedminster, New Jersey.
While his specific condition has not been released, Robert Trump is said to be “very ill”. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany confirmed the hospitalization to ABC News, adding that the brothers “have a very good relationship” and that the White House would be providing more details later.
The brothers have remained close throughout their lives, with Robert playing a major role in the 2016 campaign. Robert was also involved in trying to block the release of the book written by their niece, Mary Trump, which reveals deep secrets about the Trump family. Robert requested a temporary restraining order in an attempt to stop the book from being published. In a statement to the New York Times, he said he was “deeply disappointed” in his niece’s decision to publish the book. “Her attempt to sensationalize and mischaracterize our family relationship after all of these years for her own financial gain is both a travesty and injustice to the memory of my late brother, Fred, and our beloved parents,” he said. “I and the rest of my entire family are so proud of my wonderful brother, the president, and feel that Mary’s actions are truly a disgrace.”
In June, Robert Trump was hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Mount Sinai hospital in New York for more than a week. He resides in Millbrook, New York, with his partner and former secretary, Ann Marie Pallan.
