Trump Won’t Decide If He Accepts Election Results Until He Sees ‘The Aftermath’ Says Kayleigh McEnany

Asked if Donald Trump will accept the results of the U.S. Presidential election, after months of claiming that the vote will be ‘rigged’ via access to mail-in ballots, his press secretary wouldn’t give a firm answer. Instead, she said that Trump will make that decision only “in the aftermath.”

Trump has tweeted for months that mail-in ballots will ensure a Republican loss, and that they’ll be rife with fraud and used to ‘rig’ the election. Insiders familiar with the president have asserted that if he doesn’t win, they believe he’ll do something drastic — even to armed insurrection.

When asked on Wednesday if Trump would accept the election results, Kayleigh McEnany could not give a plain ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.

“Is the president saying if he doesn’t win this election, that he will not accept the results unless he wins?”
“He’ll see what happens and make a determination in the aftermath.”

It’s not entirely clear what would happen in the aftermath of a Trump loss. While one insider, as mentioned above, suggested that Trump would call on his supporters for armed insurrection, Joe Biden has already promised his voters that if Trump refuses to leave the White House, the military will escort him out. On the other hand, theories have been floated that Trump could use stacked courts to challenge the election results through available legal processes.

Trump has been promoting propaganda to suggest that polls are faked, and that mail-in ballots are being used to allow Democrats to fake votes. According to McEnany’s latest word, he’ll be waiting to see exactly what happens in the aftermath of a loss, before he decides whether, and how, to fight it.
