Trump Wanted to Replace the Bible With ‘Art of the Deal’ For His Swearing in Ceremony, According to Omarosa’s New Book
As a new nugget of information surfaces from Omarosa Manigault Newman’s new book, ‘Unhinged,’ one has to wonder what American conservatives will think now.
In the controversial book, written by the former reality TV star and White House aid, who the President has recently called a ‘lowlife’, Newman claims that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, considered replacing the Bible at his swearing in ceremony on January 20, 2017. Instead of the Bible, Omarosa claims that the president suggested using his very own book, “Art of the Deal,” as he envisioned ‘how many copies [he’d] sell’.
“He asked me, ‘Omarosa, what do you think about me getting sworn in on The Art of the Deal?’” Manigault Newman writes. “I said, ‘Instead of the Bible?’” she claims to have said.
“Yeah. The Art of the Deal is a bestseller!” Trump allegedly replied. “It’s the greatest business book of all time. It’s how I’m going to make great deals for the country. Just think how many copies I’d sell—maybe a commemorative inauguration copy?!”
Newman then claims that Trump backtracked and stated that he was just joking, but that she knew he really did mean what he had suggested.
Whether you believe these claims or not, the fact that they are at least somewhat believable, proves that we are living in crazy times indeed.
