When making a list of the things that catapulted Donald Trump to the presidency, few are higher on the list than Fox News. The network provides hours and hours of fawning coverage of the president each day. And Trump pays them back for their support by frequently interviewing with the network.
But anytime any of the network’s anchors steps out of line and criticizes him, he has an extreme reaction. He talked about his relationship with the channel during a Friday interview with Rush Limbaugh telling him, “Fox is a problem.”
While discussing his recent debate with Joe Biden, Trump said, “The one who protected him was Chris Wallace. Fox is a whole different ballgame. Fox is a much different thing than it was four years ago.”
Limbaugh agreed, saying, “The obstacles that keep being placed in front of you are no doubt there. I’ve never seen anything like this become, the things you have to overcome.”
Trump continued his rant by saluting a disgraced sexual predator. “Fox is a problem. When Roger Ailes ran Fox, I mean, Roger had a strong point of view that’s totally gone. And I think it’s influenced by Paul Ryan. He’s on the board, I can’t believe it.”
Unsurprisingly, Limbaugh agreed with president, telling him, “This unfairness never end.”
