Trump Slams Fox News Again, Claims He’s in Control of Debates
Now that the 2020 election is on the horizon, political polls have been coming out at a quickened pace. This has often been bad news for Donald Trump as a number of polls find him behind multiple Democratic challengers. The President recently complained about a July Fox News poll, referring to it as terrible.
Trump has frequently been angry with the Fox over the last year. He is frequently miffed by anchors like Shepherd Smith and Chris Wallace and was upset at the network airing Democratic town halls. He again ranted against Fox on Sunday afternoon attacking anchors and making what may be seen as a threat about the 2020 debates.
When asked about a recent poll conducted by the network, Trump replied, “Fox is a lot different than it used to be. I can tell you that. Juan Williams, then they have the wonderful woman (referring to Donna Brazille) that gave Hillary Clinton the questions. That was a terrible thing. And all of a sudden, she’s working for Fox. What’s she doing working for Fox?”
Trump continued, “I think they’re making a big mistake because Fox was treated very badly by the Democrats. Very, very badly. Having to do with the debates and other things. And I think Fox is making a big mistake because, you know, I’m the one that calls the shots on that — on the really big debates. I guess we’re probably planning on three of them. And I — well, I’m very — I’m not happy with Fox.”
The first 2020 debate will likely take place in September.
