Trump Reportedly Coud Look to Bring Back Conway to Save Flailing Campaign

According to Puck News' Tara Palmeri, Donald Trump could be looking to bring back Kellyanne Conway to take over his fading campaign.

It once looked like Donald Trump was possibly on his way to retaking the White House and spirits were high at Mar-a-Lago. After Joe Biden dropped out his predecessor Kamala Harris stormed up the polls and has taken all the air out of the GOP's ballon.

While Trump isn't an easy man to work for, his campaign team has pushed all of the wrong buttons since Harris entered the race. Palmeri told CNN's Sara Sidnor that Trump could react by tapping Conway to run his team.

"And they’ve been focused on Joe Biden," Palmeri said of Trump's current team, "and he has a bit of nostalgia and recalls the days in 2016 when Kellyanne Conway, who has been his long time adviser, who, by the way, is still on retainer with the RNC, for political strategy. How he was able to help her out, how she was able to help him essentially go after Hillary Clinton."

The reporter continued:

"So he thinks that she would be the right person to bring on. Lara Trump, who is a co-chair at the RNC, is behind this as well. They’ve been talking, over the weekend. And this wouldn’t be you know, Kellyanne takes over for Susie Wiles and she’s out. He also, appreciates Susie Wiles, her work and her guidance. So they’d probably be it’d be more of a lateral move. But, I think Trump at this point thinks that fresh blood might help him in this moment when he’s really stagnant."
