The Republican party knows that there are many, many women who are completely disgusted by Donald Trump. The GOP believes that maybe the best way to counter that is to make a woman his VP. That ignores that fact that the woman in place would likely be against abortion rights and equal pay for women.
Kristi Noem was among those seen as a top candidate for Trump's running mate. That came to an end after the South Dakota Governor admitted to killing a young dog in her own book. While much of the country has come down on her, Trump was willing to give her a pass.
"I think [Noem’s] terrific.A couple of rough stories, there’s no question about it,” Trump said during a podcast interview released Tuesday with Clay Travis and Buck Sexton. “And when explained — the dog story, people hear that and people from different parts of the country probably feel a bit differently, but that’s a tough story."
The former President then weighed in, "“She had a bad week. We all have bad weeks."
Trump then tried to polish a turd by saying, "Until this week, she was doing incredibly well. And she got hit hard, and sometimes you do books, and you have some guy writing a book and you maybe don’t read it as carefully, you know. You have ghostwriters too. They help you, and they, in this case, didn’t help too much."
