Trump on MTG's Motion to Vacate: It's Not the Right Time

After weeks of threats, Marjorie Taylor Greene finally followed through on her threats to file a motion to vacate against Mike Johnson. The measure failed, humiliating the Georgia Congresswoman, who was booed lustily by both sides of the House.

There have been few lawmakers more loyal to Donald Trump than Marjorie Taylor Greene has been. And on her day of humiliation, the former President wanted to cheer her up a bit, so he wrote her a note on Truth Social.

"I absolutely love Marjorie Taylor Greene," he began. She’s got Spirit, she’s got Fight, and I believe she’ll be around, and on our side, for a long time to come,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “However, right now, Republicans have to be fighting the Radical Left Democrats, and all the Damage they have done to our Country."

Trump then noted that this isn't the time to pull her kind of tricks, writing, "With a Majority of One, shortly growing to three or four, we’re not in a position of voting on a Motion to Vacate. At some point, we may very well be, but this is not the time."

Trump even threw his newest lapdog, Mike Johnson, a bone in continuing, "Mike Johnson is a good man who is trying very hard. I also wish certain things were done over the last period of two months, but we will get them done, together."
