Trump Maintains Polls Are Fake as a New One From Quinnipiac Has Him Down 15%
In mid-March, Donald Trump recorded a 49% approval rating from respected pollster Gallup. Since then, it’s been all downhill for the President. It has now become routine to see Trump down double digits in high quality polls.
Trump has brushed off concerns about the terrible numbers saying a “silent majority” will lead him to victory. Wednesday, however, has more bad news for the President with Quinnipiac University releasing his worst poll yet.
The poll has Trump at only a 36% approval rating compared to 60% who disapprove. This 24% spread is the worst of his Presidency.

The survey also showed Joe Biden with a massive 15% lead over the President.
Trump has long maintained that he should be elected because he is strong on the economy. But Quinnipiac respondents preferred Biden on the topic by 5%. Trump is likely to be enraged by the survey, but is also likely to paint it is “fake.”
@stevenportnoy asks Trump if he sees himself as the underdog in this race, given that he just spent the better part of this address in campaign mode. Trump says the polls are fake.

The President was asked Tuesday if he thinks he is currently trailing Biden. “We won a race where it was the same thing — 2016 — we had polls that were — they turned out to be fake,” he responded.
“I think we’re doing very well in the polls and I think you have a silent majority the likes of which this country has never seen before. This is a very important election.I think that the enthusiasm now is greater and maybe far greater than it was in 2016. I think a lot of people don’t want to talk about it. I think they’re not going to say, ‘Hey I’m for Trump. I’m for Trump.’ They don’t want to go through the process and I fully understand that because the process is not fair. The media doesn’t treat us fairly. They never have and perhaps they never will.”
