According to Reuters, President Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton announced Tuesday morning that North Korea has not taken the appropriate steps to denuclearize, in accordance with the agreement reached between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un back in June.
“What we really need is not more rhetoric,” Bolton said. “What we need is performance from North Korea on denuclearization. It’s just North Korea that has not taken the steps we feel are necessary to denuclearize.”
This is a rather stunning announcement, considering President Trump, on June 13, claimed that “There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.”
It turns out that North Korea is still a very ominous nuclear threat after all.
Bolton also told Fox News that Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State is prepared to return to North Korea for a second meeting with Kim Jong Un.
