Trump Kids Won’t Run in 2024 Because They’ll Be Too Busy in Court Says Mary Trump
As soon as they finished college, Donald Trump set his children up with cushy jobs in his various businesses. But none of those various businesses are doing very well. So it has been rumored that Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka Trump could follow their father into the world of politics.
It could be seen as a smart play. Their father is the most popular man in the Republican party. And the GOP, which has proven itself to be spineless, would certainly back the Trump kid’s plays. Mary Trump, though, points out one major problem. She predicts that her cousins will be too busy defending themselves in court to run for public office.
The former President’s niece made the comments during an interview with Business Insider. “Thanks in large part to their dad but also to their own anti-social tendencies, going to be defending themselves I’m guessing in a fair number of civil and criminal cases going forward,” she said.
Mary Trump continued, “That is the only saving grace at the moment: Donald and possibly two or three of his children are going to be embroiled in lots of legal actions, starting in the future and the not too distant future.”
The Trump family member didn’t have high hopes for her cousins in the first place. “He (Donald) has a certain charisma that appeals to people’s lowest and basest instinct and gives permission to people to be their worst selves,” she told Insider. He can be charming, it makes sense to me that people can be taken in by him. They (the Trump kids) don’t have that [charisma].”
