For the second time in a week, Donald Trump attended a sporting event where spectators had the ability to boo or cheer for him. During a World Series game in Washington DC on Sunday, Trump was widely jeered by the crowd and heard chants of “lock him up.”
On Saturday night, the President attended a UFC fight at Madison Square Garden. While his reception was more mixed than at the baseball game, there were still a fair amount of boos. The President’s son dismissed reports of booing at bullsh*t and said that Trump’s entrance was well received.
Videos of the crowd reacting to Trump’s presence were widely shared on social media. Writer Mitch Horowitz tweeted out a clip and wrote, “That sound you hear is Donald Trump getting booed at UFC 244.”

Trump Jr. reacted angrily to these clips being shared and tweeted, “Despite the bullsh*t from blue checkmark Twitter, when we walked into the arena it was overwhelmingly positive. Dana White said it was the most electrifying entrance he seen in 25 years of doing this.”

The President’s son also shared a New York Post article that claimed there were more cheers than boos. The inside of the article did acknowledge, “there were also plenty of “boos” and the occasional raised middle finger as well.”
The Post also reported that there were only about two dozen Trump protesters outside of Madison Square Garden yesterday. The New York Daily News says that the actual number of demonstrators was closer to 150.
