Trump Jr. Attacks CNN For Not Airing Racist Ad — CNN Fires Back
In what many political pundits are calling the most racist election in American history, the President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., found himself front and center in this argument this weekend.
Trump Jr., who has been out campaigning for Republicans, fired a tweet towards CNN on Saturday morning, which included an ad sponsored by his father, that CNN refused to air.
CNN refused to run this ad… I guess they only run fake news and won’t talk about real threats that don’t suit their agenda. Enjoy. Remember this on Tuesday. #vote #voterepublican pic.twitter.com/VyMm7GhPLX

CNN fired back at Trump Jr., explaining their decision, while clearly taking its own dig at both the president and his son:
“CNN has made it abundantly clear in its editorial coverage that this ad is racist. When presented with an opportunity to be paid to take a version of this ad, we declined. Those are the facts. 🍎,” wrote CNN’s communications department.
The ad in question isn’t just racist, according to those on both the right and the left, but it is packed full of lies which attempt to blame Democrats for the murders that an illegal immigrant named Luis Bacamontes committed back in 2014. Bacamontes was deported and then snuck back into the United States during the George W. Bush administration, yet the ad clearly states that “Democrats let him stay.” It then tries to paint the caravan of Central American refugees with a broad brush, suggesting that they too may be cop killers like Bacamontes, despite no evidence suggesting such.
Later in the day on Saturday, Donald Trump Jr. then appeared to disguise a neo-Nazi dog whistle in yet another tweet he posted, claiming that Independent Senator Angus King wants to “repopulate Maine with Syrian and Somalian refugees.”
