Trump: I Don't Know If Relationship With Kemp is Salvageable

During his Mar-a-Lago press conference on Thursday, Donald Trump was asked about his relationship with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and whether it is salvageable.

Georgia could end up being a crucially important state in this falls election and Donald Trump is going to need all the Republican votes he can get. But the last time he appeared in the state, he took shots at popular Republican Governor Brian Kemp and his wife.

There has been immediate blowback over the comments made by the former President and he was asked about them today, by a reporter who said, "Thank you, sir. Your campaign is targeting Pennsylvania in Georgia, and if you get those two, you could seal the deal. That’s what they say. How important is it to you, and is it salvageable for you to be able to repair the relationship with Governor Kemp in Georgia?"

Trump responded, "I don’t know. I don’t know if I can or not. I got him elected without me. He wouldn’t be governor. I got him elected. He was doing terribly. I got him elected."

Trump continued by saying, "With that being said, I hope we can repair it. But if we don’t, the people are still the people and they’re going to vote. We’re leading in Georgia by a lot."
