Trump, GOP Have Twitter Meltdowns After Pelosi Appears on Fox News

Fox News has long referred to itself as “The Fair and Balanced” network, the idea being that all sides get to tell their story. With that said, it’s not too often that you see a Democratic lawmaker appear on one of their shows.

Chris Wallace, much to the ire of Donald Trump, is often seen as the Fox host who is most moderate in his reporting. On Sunday, Wallace invited Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to interview with him. Both the President’s and the GOP’s Twitter feeds quickly erupted in anger over the decision.

Via their Twitter account, the GOP wrote, “Today, Nancy Pelosi is appearing on Fox News Sunday. When the Paycheck Protection Program ran out of funding, she decided playing politics was more important than saving small businesses. It is time for the Democrats to be held accountable for putting millions in financial limbo.”

The President piggybacked on the GOP’s tweet, opining, “Nervous Nancy is an inherently “dumb” person. She wasted all of her time on the Impeachment Hoax. She will be overthrown, either by inside or out, just like her last time as ‘Speaker.’ Wallace & Fox News are on a bad path, watch!”

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace was quick to weigh on on Trump’s tantrum. “If Trump were your wacky half friend from college you’d find a way for a zoom intervention and involve his relatives because you’d worry that by the time the pandemic is over he’d be posting videos of himself drinking out of the dog’s water bowl,” she tweeted. “Guy is bananas.”
