Trump Gets Into Twitter Spat With John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Donald Trump regularly consumes the news in a number of different platforms. If he feels that he is being criticized unfairly or his accomplishments are being recognized, he can be very vocal about it. Just this weekend, he suggested that Washington Post reporters Ashley Parker and Phil Rucker could be banned from the White House because of a critical article.

The President also feels that some celebrities should be giving him more credit. This weekend, Trump engaged in a Twitter war with musician and activist John Legend and his wife, model Chrissy Teigen.

Legend joined NBC anchor, Lester Holt, for a town hall on criminal justice reform. Trump seemingly felt that his criminal justice reform law that he passed should have been discussed during the show.

The President tweeted, “Guys like boring musician John Legend and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is – but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed. ‘Anchor’ doesn’t even bring up the subject of President Trump or the Republicans when talking about the importance or passage of Criminal Justice Reform.”

Legend was quick to respond to Trump’s comments. “Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you.

Teigen, who the President failed to mention by name, was a little more aggressive in her response. The model wrote, “lol what a p*ssy *ss b*tch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president.”
