During his rally this weekend in Michigan, Donald Trump came up with a new excuse for why people are constantly seen leaving his rallies early.
No one has a higher opinion of Donald Trump than the former President. And one of the best ways to get him off balance is to claim that he is not as well-liked by people as he thinks. Kamala Harris used this tactic to great success during the candidate's recent debate.
Many accounts on social media now show videos of people streaming out of his events and that has bothered him too. So during a recent rally, the former President tried to come up with a reason why.
Trump began by denying that people are actually leaving at all. He told the crowd, "The people that you see leaving? Because nobody ever leaves. And when they do, I finish up quick."
The former President then attempted to blame his staff for creating the appearance that his supporters are leaving his rallies, continuing, "These stupid people that are with me sometimes, they say, ‘Come on back,' thirty people, they get up and they go back. And they’re all lined up in the back waiting for me to take a picture because I couldn’t do it before."
