Trump Cancelled NJ Golf Trip for “Law and Order.” He’s Golfing in VA Instead.

Donald Trump, like most other recent Presidents, enjoys golfing in his spare time. Trump, however, seems to have a lot more spare time than other Commanders in Chief. The 45th President has spent a total of 252 days at a golf course during his term.

Due to the unrest from the George Floyd protests, Trump has had to cancel two recent planned golf trips to  New Jersey. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t been hitting the links, though. Despite saying he was taking this weekend to maintain “law and order,” Trump hit a Virginia golf course on Saturday morning.

The President tweeted on Friday, “I was going to go to Bedminster, New Jersey, this weekend, but wanted to stay in Washington, D.C. to make sure LAW & ORDER is enforced. The arsonists, anarchists, looters, and agitators have been largely stopped. I am doing what is necessary to keep our communities safe — and these people will be brought to Justice!”

CNN’s Manu Raju reported via Twitter, “Trump, who tweeted yesterday he canceled his NJ trip to ensure “LAW & ORDER is enforced,” just arrived at his Virginia golf club. It’s the 271st time he has been at one of his golf clubs and 363rd time at one of his properties in his presidency, per CNN tally.”
