Trump Calls Bob Woodward After Hearing About Book – Here’s the Transcript
This afternoon, leaks began to surface regarding the content of investigative journalist Bob Woodward’s new book entitled “Fear: Trump in the White House.” The book, which contains dozens of salacious claims, including quotes from Chief of Staff John Kelly indicating that he believes the president is an “idiot,” is already being hotly debated by Americans on both sides of the aisle.
Now, CNN and the Washington Post have reported that Trump, after finding out about the book early last month, called Mr. Woodward on August 14th expressing his displeasure that yet another book was being written about his White House. The transcript of the call, which Woodward recorded with permission from the president, can be seen in its entirety below.
The call lasted approximately 11 minutes, much of which was spent by Mr. Trump trying to convince Woodward that he would have loved to talk to him prior to the book being completed, despite the fact that Woodward reached out repeatedly to the White House for an interview with the president.
