There Are Tons of Tickets Unsold For Donald Trump and Bill O’Reilly’s Rallies
Donald Trump could have gone back to Florida and enjoyed his retirement. He is desperate, though, to remain in control of the Republican party. He would also like to bask in the adulation of his supporters and make some money off of them at the same time.
So Trump recently announced that he would be doing a tour with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly But it looks like his biggest fans aren’t all that interested in paying to see it. According to a new report from Politico, tickets aren’t really moving.
Daniel Lippman writes:
“For Trump’s Houston event with O’Reilly at the 19,000-seat Toyota Center, home to the NBA’s Houston Rockets, 60 to 65 percent of seats remain unsold, an employee with access to ticket sales information estimated. And in Sunrise, Florida, a box office employee at the BB&T Center said that they would have expected sales for the Trump-O’Reilly event there to have been ‘definitely higher’ by now.”
Lippman also notes that recent events hosted by the Obama’s and Bill and Hillary Clinton moved much more briskly. An Obama event at Chicago’s United Center sold out within days. The Clinton held a Live Nation tour in 2018 and their tickets normally sold out in a week or two.
When reached for a comment, O’Reilly told Lippman, “You put one word in there that’s not true, I’ll sue your ass off and you can quote me on that. You’re just a hatchet man and that’s what you are.”
