Yesterday I did a story depicting former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone’s connections to Guccifer 2.0 and Wikileaks, making the case for why he will likely be indicted by a federal Grand Jury in regards to the Trump/Russia investigation in the coming weeks or months ahead.
Today I’d like to take things a step further and include a timeline of the events surrounding the hacked email portion of the investigation. Below you will find a timeline depicting the roles played by Wikileak’s Julian Assange, Donald Trump Jr., and former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone. While the timeline itself may not prove a crime beyond a reasonable doubt, things certainly don’t look good from a legal standpoint for all those involved.
6/2016 – Alexander Nix, the CEO of Cambridge Analytica, the same firm who worked for the Trump campaign, emails Wikileaks’ founder Julian Assange seeking access to emails from Clinton’s private server. Nix tells Assange that he wants to turn the emails into a searchable database for the campaign or possibly pro-Trump political action committees.
6/12/16 – Julian Assange claims that he is preparing to release the hacked emails from President Clinton while she served as secretary of state.
7/22/2016 – Wikileaks publishes a approximately 20,000 hacked DNC emails. A large portion of these emails were sent or received by senior members of the DNC, and some included evidence that the DNC favored Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the primaries.
8/8/2016 – For the first time, Roger Stone admits to being in communication with Julian Assange. “I actually have communicated with Assange. I believe the next tranche of his documents pertain to the Clinton Foundation but there’s no telling what the October surprise may be.” Later Stone clarifies his remarks by saying that he did not communicate directly with Assange, but instead used an intermediary.
8/18/2016 – For the second time, this time in a C-SPAN interview, Roger Stone claims he’s in communication with Wikileaks’ Julian Assange. Stone claims once again that through an intermediary he has been in touch with Julian Assange. Then he makes a prediction: “I expect you’re going to see more from Mr. Assange.”
8/29/2016 – Roger Stone tells a local Florida radio interviewer (around the 6½-minute mark of the interview), “We’re going to, I think, see from WikiLeaks and other leakers the nexus between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation.” About Assange, he says, “Perhaps he has the smoking gun that makes this handcuff time.”
9/4/2016 – Donald Trump Jr. tweets about Wikileaks for the first time. The Tweet read:
“WIKILEAKS: Hillary Clinton Sent THOUSANDS of Classified Cables Marked ‘(C)’ for Confidential https://shar.es/1wyBY4 via gatewaypundit”
9/9/2016 – Stone predicts that WikiLeaks will soon release Clinton emails. He says in a radio interview that WikiLeaks will release new Clinton emails:
“I expect Julian Assange and the WikiLeaks people to drop a payload of new documents on Hillary on a weekly basis fairly soon. And that, of course, will answer the question of exactly what was erased on that email server.”
9/14/2016 – Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and others in the Trump Organization received an email with a decryption key and website address for hacked WikiLeaks documents. Trump Jr. told investigators that he had no recollection of the email.
9/21/2016 – Donald Trump Jr. and Wikileaks have a private conversation on Twitter. In the conversation Wikileaks provides Donald Trump Jr. with a password to access an anti-Trump website. Don Jr. replied, “Off the record I don’t know who that is but I’ll ask around. Thanks.” Exactly eight minutes after this conversation, Wikileaks published the password to the world via Twitter.
Also 9/21/16 – Donald Trump Jr. sends an email to Jared Kushner, then-campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, then-campaign CEO Steve Bannon and Brad Parscale, notifying them that Wikileaks had reached out to him. Kushner forwarded the email to former communications director Hope Hicks.
10/2/2016 – Roger Stone appeared to predict that WikiLeaks would soon post damaging materials about Clinton. He posted: “Wednesday @HillaryClinton is done. #WikiLeaks.” Nothing materialized on the date Stone referred to, but two days later on 10/4/2016 WikiLeaks started releasing Podesta’s emails.
10/3/2016 – Donald Trump Jr. and WikiLeaks exchange additional private messages on Twitter. WikiLeaks sends a link to a story pertaining to Clinton criticizing Assange, asking Don Jr. to share it. Trump Jr. then replies: “Already did that earlier today. It’s amazing what she can get away with.” Trump Jr. then follows up asking, ”What’s behind this Wednesday leak I keep hearing about?” WikiLeaks does not ever respond to this question, which appears to reference Roger Stone’s post from October 2.
10/5/2016 – Stone says “payload coming” from WikiLeaks:
“Libs thinking Assange will stand down are wishful thinking. Payload coming,” Stone tweeted. Two days later on 10/7/2016 WikiLeaks began releasing thousands of emails hacked from Podesta’s email account.
10/7/2016 – Wikileaks starts propagating emails hacked from Clinton Campaign Manager, John Podesta. With just four and a half weeks left until the election, Wikileaks slowly continues to release Podesta’s emails and Trump continues talking about them on the campaign trail.
10/10/16 – Donald Trump says “”This just came out. WikiLeaks! I love WikiLeaks.” at a rally in Pennsylvania while revealing details of hacked emails to the excited crowd.
10/11/2016 – Via Twitter, Trump tweets out a message encouraging his tens of millions of followers to read the recent hacked emails released by Wikileaks: “I hope people are looking at the disgraceful behavior of Hillary Clinton as exposed by WikiLeaks. She is unfit to run.”
10/12/2016 – Wikileaks sends a private message to Donald Trump Jr. encouraging him to tweet about their latest release of hacked emails. The email read: “Hey Donald, great to see your dad talking about our publications. Strongly suggest your dad tweet this link if he mentions us.” Attached to the email was an obscure web address (wlsearch.tk) that is believed to have hosted an archive of the latest WikiLeaks releases. Trump Jr. did not respond to the message, but Donald Trump tweets: ”Very little pick-up by the dishonest media of incredible information provided by WikiLeaks. So dishonest! Rigged system!”
10/14/16 – Donald Trump Jr. tweets out the link that Wikileaks told him to two days prior.
10/21/2016 – Wikileaks and Donald Trump Jr. remain in contact over Twitter direct message. This time Wikileaks suggests that Donald Trump Jr., or the Trump Campaign, leak Trump’s tax returns to them, so that Wikileaks can released them in an effort to not look biased. According to Wikileaks, doing so would make Wikileaks appears not to be “pro-Trump” and “pro-Russia”.
11/8/2016 – On the day of the election, Wikileaks contacts Donald Trump Jr., telling him that if his father loses, he should immediately contest the election results and claim that it was rigged. This suggestion went along with a report from the US intelligence community in January 2017. The report read: “Before the election, Russian diplomats had publicly denounced the US electoral process and were prepared to publicly call into question the validity of the results. Pro-Kremlin bloggers had prepared a Twitter campaign, #DemocracyRIP, on election night in anticipation of Secretary Clinton’s victory, judging from their social media activity.”
12/16/2016 – In yet another private direct message on Twitter, WikiLeaks writes to Donald Trump Jr. saying: “Hi, Don. Hope you’re doing well! In relation to Mr. Assange: Obama/Clinton placed pressure on Sweden, UK and Australia (his home country) to illicitly go after Mr. Assange. It would be real easy and helpful for your dad to suggest that Australia appoint Assange ambassador to DC. ‘That’s a really smart tough guy and the most famous [A]ustralian you have!’ or something similar. They won’t do it, but it will send the right signals to Australia, UK + Sweden to start following the law and stop bending it to ingratiate themselves with the Clintons.”
3/4/2017 – In a tweet, Stone once again admits to having a back-channel to Wikileaks, then deletes the tweet within 40 minutes. “Never denied perfectly legal back channel to Assange who indeed had the goods on #CrookedHillary.”
7/11/2017 – Following news breaking about the now-infamous Trump Tower meeting, WikiLeaks tells Donald Trump Jr. to release his own emails. He did not reply to these direct messages, but did soon release the full email chain that showed he was told that the Russian lawyer who would attend the meeting might have had damaging information about Clinton. Julian Assange acknowledged that he personally wrote these messages to Trump Jr., tweeting at the time, “Contacted Trump Jr this morning on why he should publish his emails.”
