The Soon to be Unemployed Donald Trump Jr. May Be Angling to Take Control of the NRA
Donald Trump Jr. seems to be one of the few members of the family who realizes that he’s going to need a new job in a few weeks. At first, the president’s son reportedly hoped to take control of the RNC. But those hopes were dashed when Donald Trump endorsed Ronna McDowell to remain in her position.

So Trump Jr. is apparently looking to take a job that connects him with another hobby; shooting wild animals. According to a report from Business Insider, the president’s son would like to run the National Rifle Association.
Aides close to Trump Jr. told Business Insider, “Donald Trump Jr. and his tight-knit team have been pondering taking control of the National Rifle Association. It’s one more way the Trump family is making big plays to cement itself in GOP conservative politics for the next 4 years.”
Donald Trump Jr. spent the last four years aiding and abetting an administration rife with corruption that left catastrophic death and destruction in its wake, so he would feel right at home at the @NRA. https://t.co/Y3qIRyUpgY

The NRA, once a political powerhouse, is now in shambles. The organization’s head Wayne LaPierre recently won a power struggle over Oliver North to stay in control. But there are reports that many are unhappy with LaPierre and he has been accused of embezzling funds from the organization.
Even if Trump Jr. was able to garner control of the organization, his triumph may be short-lived. New York’s Attorney General Letitia James has said that she hopes to close down the National Rifle Association completely.
