The NY Times Failed to Print Hillary Clinton’s Office’s Comments Over Document Hypocrisy. Read Them Here.

When Donald Trump was running against Hillary Clinton in 2016, his supporters would regularly chant “lock her up” about his opponent. The concern of the Republicans was the way that Clinton handled sensitive documents when she was Secretary of State.

It has now been revealed that Trump was much more reckless with sensitive documents than Clinton ever was. Not surprisingly, the GOP has ignored the 45th President’s treatment of records. The New York Times recently published an article concerning this hypocrisy. The paper, though, did not include comments from Clinton herself.

Nick Merrill, a Democratic strategist, tweeted, “the New York Times just printed a story on Trump’s mishandling of classified information. They asked for comment from Hillary Clinton’s office as this exposes his hypocrisy. In typical form, the NYT’s editors declined to print the comment, so posting it here.”

The statement read:

“The 2-year frenzy over emails was a political Rorschach test, where everyone saw something different in what was ultimately nothing. Call it sexism, Republican depravity, ratings-hungry media, it’s time we acknowledge it was bullshit, and write that into the history books.”
