Ted Cruz has a history of using his Twitter feed to push misinformation. Despite being vaccinated and sending his children to schools with vaccine mandates, the Texas senator regularly promotes vaccine hesitancy. Cruz, of course, was also all in on Donald Trump’s Big Election Lie.

On Saturday, Cruz retweeted a false report from Fox’s Sara Carter. The tweet claimed that a woman was trampled and killed by a police horse during the Canadian trucker protests. Carter later corrected her report, but Cruz has not done so and the retweet remains on his page.

Carter wrote last night, “Reports are the woman trampled by a Canadian horse patrol just died at the hospital.” Cruz retweeted the message, writing, “This…is…horrific.”

The Fox reporter later wrote, “The Reports I was given earlier yesterday from sources on the ground that someone may have died at a hospital during the trampling was wrong.👇someone was taken to a hospital with a heart condition -not due to trampling.I want to clarify this again and apologize for any confusion.”

Cruz’s message has been like nearly 12,000 times.
