Ted Cruz Complains That Mitch McConnell Isn't Giving Him Enough Money

During a recent interview on Mark Levin's show, Ted Cruz complained that he isn't getting enough money from GOP leadership, calling out Mitch McConnell.

Money matters in political campaigns, and Ted Cruz has been struggling fundraising-wise in his match against Colin Allred. The Republican is one of the most unpopular lawmakers in the country, and Cruz-haters are happy to help get him voted out.

A massive chunk of the GOP's fundraising haul is going towards Donald Trump, and the party isn't raising the kind of money the Democrats are. Still, Cruz thinks some of that money needs to go toward him.

Cruz whined:

"We are in the middle of a full-on battle. Chuck Schumer has been explicit - I'm his number one target. They are spending $100-150 million trying to beat me ... For 3 months, they've been running attack ads nonstop. I just got up on TV three weeks ago. It's not that I didn't want to be on TV three months ago; we didn't have the money .. and poll after poll shows this as a one-point race."

The Texas senator then turned his attention toward the Senate Minority Leader, saying, "In 2018 I was facing at the time what was at the most expensive senate race in U.S. history. I was being outspent 3-1. Mitch McConnell spend zero dollars to defend Texas. He spent $300 million elsewhere, but not a penny in Texas. This time that PAC has $400 million and they have spent zero (on my race)."
